Holiday Inn Express & Suites Grenada, an IHG Hotel

Okay I've stayed in hotels across the country and this was so outdated in the rooms. I stayed in 225 and the shower had mildew under the soap bars in the shower, in the tiles on the corners of walls, and broken tiles across the shower. Furniture is out of date. Air conditioner wasn't on when I entered the room so it was muggy in there. The room was nearly 200$ and not anywhere near worth that. I gave 2 stars because the young woman working the front desk on the night of March 22nd was AMAZING. She was kind, professional, put together, helpful, attentive, smiling, joyful, and just an asset to this place. The beds were also comfortable. Other than that, KEEP driving! So disappointed in THIS IHG hotel...as an elite member, I've had plenty of stays. This ranks in top 5 worst condition for the price. Rooms: Outdated, musty, mildew

We really enjoyed our stay here! After a long day of driving, we were greeted by 2 friendly women at the front desk. We asked where in town was a good place to have supper and they recommended 2 places within walking distance, they were spot on with their suggestions. We thought the room was great! The bed was really comfy with the bedding and pillows, probably the best sleep I ever had at a hotel. The bathroom was clean, the shower was great and it wasn't a low water flow which seems like most hotels have now a days. They had a nice hot breakfast with eggs, sausage and biscuits/gravy. Everyone we encounter from the ladies at check-in to the nice man+lady at checkout, also the housekeepers and other workers were so friendly even when they were outside on their break. I'm not sure why there's many negative reviews but we would stay here again

When I came into the hotel and was in line., I took a good view of the lobby. Well,I was wondering what the hell. But I went ahead with my registration. Right when I signed in,oh sir. there is a 50$ holding fee. Come to find out, they charge me 75$. (Yes) Got my keys and proceeded to my room. Opened the door and (left) Yes left and went back to the office. The front desk wanted to know what's wrong. I told her that the room was not holiday inn Standards. I mean. The room was so out of date I felt like I was in a James Bond 1970s hotel room. My room was supposed to be a suite. She said "quote "we're supposed to have Renovation for next year. at this hotel. They did not give me back my refund, said that I suppose to give 24hr. notice. My agent called and even try to get a refund they still say no because because I paid third party. The manager have me to try 3 other rooms and they All was a failure. I ended up getting. 2 couch pillows from one room to exchange for the room. that I chose Because the table was broken and the other had a really big colorful stain on the couch,that she put her hand in,(yes ) to see was it dry. The next morning I put out towels and trash can . no one came to clean my room Or to replace towels. There is so much more but I will stop here because Yes, it's a third rate hotel.. Period.
