My truck just stopped. Right in the street in downtown Ellisville. I called the police & was immediately put through to dispatch (I could hardly hear him & didn't want to be rude & say "Speak up!") But he immediately sent 2 officers.
They were so nice & even joked about me creating my own parking space. (I looked at the names on their badges. But my memory is awful & I can't remember what they said.) While 1 directed traffic, the other one asked if he could look at my truck. He moved the battery & adjusted the cables & he tried & it cranked right up.
I had some other errands. But he suggested I go straight home & he followed me to the city limits; which was greatly appreciated by me! I made it home with no problems.
I had met a few officers on previous & varied occasions & they had not impressed me at all. In fact, they had been smart mouthed & extremely sarcastic. Up until today, I'd had nothing good to say about the Ellisville MS Police Department. But, after today, my opinion has changed & I'm thankful for them!
