        When we arrived the desk clerk was the highlight of our interactions with staff. She was cheerful, nice and professional. It was downhill from there. The beds were comfortable. The carpet was filthy in our room,as well as the windows. They had totally closed the poker room the day before we arrived. THE reason I booked our room. The casino was small. We saw not one jackpot winner while there. The staff avoided eye contact with us consistently. Most eateries are not open untill the weekends. I really wanted steak and shake since ours closed over a year ago. But they were understaffed, and the line was incredibly long. So, we went to beau rivage down the street. They had a very nice poker room and the casino was much nicer and way bigger. Staff very helpful and attentive. When we go back to Biloxi we will definitely be staying at beau rivage. Much more elegant and inviting than harrah's Nearby activities: Only an hour and a half to new Orleans. We left early and spent the day at the french quarter.
