I called and the owner Rick answered the call, that in itself was impressive. We had a nice conversation about what I was planning, I didn't feel rushed on the phone, and can't wait to meet him Wednesday! He was friendly and professional, I felt like we were talking face to face. This is going to be a great experience!

Rick McMurtry, Home Builder, and owner of Epic Homes is unsurpassed in turning your home design and dreams into a beautiful and long lasting family treasure. After a local banker recommended Rick and Epic Homes to us, we contacted Rick and presented our home plans and expectations. Rick met with us in his Biloxi office and walked us through the entire build process (our first) as well as the expected pricing for all of the possible options we had available and just as importantly all of the ways we could save money by making timely decisions as inflation had just kicked in. During the home build process, we witnessed Rick requiring sub-contractors return to a task if it did not meet his or our expectations. Rick was attentive to special requests also. For example, my wife wanted and expected high end detailed customization to many items in the house. She was very concerned about the expensive stove and oven she had purchased and the addition of a Butlers pantry to the house plans. Butlers Pantries are not a common addition to most homes.She also made request for faucets and kitchen counter tops that were not easily sourced post-COVID. This was a challenging home to build as we lived in another state at the time. Rick was very accommodating to lots of cell phone calls and text messages and met all of my wifes expectations. Even after the home warranty has passed, Rick is accessible and makes sure any issues we have are quickly and properly rectified to our satisfaction. My wife and I make the highest possible recommendation to select Rick McMurtry and Epic Homes for families looking to build their lifes dream home.

UPDATE: We have been in our custom home from Epic Homes (Rick) for over 8 months. We are so happy with the home/end result. We looked as hard as we could for anything wrong but everything about our home is great. We did not have to have Rick come back to fix anything as nothing was wrong with the home (that in itself is awesome). Rick built an amazing customer home!!!!!! Great job Epic Homes and thank you Rick for the honesty, integrity and a beautiful custom home. In my opinion, Rick is one of the most honest people in the building/construction industry and definitely the most honest person i know in the home building market. Our custom home was built by Rick (owner of Epic Homes). We cannot be happier with the end result. Very positive comments from inspectors about quality during the building process. If you want a well built home and a home building process driven with integrity, choose Rick. Rick didn't tell us a bunch of lies to get our contract nor promise us a completion date that wasn't realistic just to get our business. Very upfront and honest from start to finish.
