Just got back from a stay at The Pearl. Excellent location, nice room, super clean. Staff at desk very friendly. I highly recommend it.

What a pleasant find this hotel was in beautiful Bay St. Louis. If you didn't visit BSL in the few years after Hurricane Katrina in 2005, you cannot truly appreciate its robust recovery. And The Pearl is a beautiful addition to this little coastal city. Fabulously appointed (one of the few hotels that actually exceeds expectations set by its own website) with great amenities, including a great on-site restaurant. Situated across the beach boulevard from several local restaurants and bars, it's a great atmosphere. Hotel personnel are friendly and helpful. Check-in is a little cumbersome because of parking issues downtown, but once you're in the hotel's private lot, it's all a breeze from there. Highly recommend for a weekend or a week. Go see it. Rooms: Rooms a comfortably decorated and outfitted with fridges, microwaves and all modern comforts. This room opened directly on to the pool deck, though it was quite sleep during our February visit. The bathrooms are also nicely appointed but a bit cramped. Nearby activities: Sitting on the bay, the hotel is close to a marina, two local casinos, and several music venues. The town is easily walkable, but golf cart rentals are close by. Walkability: The hotel is situated at the corner of Beach Boulevard and Main Street. It's easily walkable from there to over a dozen great restaurants and local shops. Food & drinks: The Thorny Oyster has a fantastic seafood-based menu. Hinge cocktail bar was a fun stop with great customer service and lively music. Noteworthy details: This hotel is nearly one-of-a-kind on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. A terrific option to casinos and chains if you're looking for a quiet and unique stay.
