Truely a wonderful experience. Our host Richard was so helpful and accomadting. Going as far as providing multiple recommendations for dinner and even making our reservations for us. Getting to learn some of the history of the house and the people who lived there was a lovely bonus.
Richard really made the experience something special, and I can't wait to stay again!

My wife and I greatly enjoyed our recent stay at the Alexander mansion. Richard was an incredible host being very kind and welcoming. Richard provided a great history of the property along with a tour of the nearly 10,000 square foot mansion.
Richard's wealth of knowledge about things to do, places to go and where to eat were instrumental in making our getaway to Winona fantastic.
Richard's recommendations for food were spot on and the restaurants in Winona that we ate at were fabulous. It was like we were in a foodie city which we had never expected for a community of that size.
We thought we would make just a day trip to Winona but found there was much more time that we could have spent in the area and even in the city of Winona.
The breakfast that Richard provided was absolutely delicious and provided a great experience having the opportunity to spend some time with other guests contributing to a wonderful experience.
We definitely plan to return and spend at least two to three more days at the Alexander Mansion to further explore the Winona area. Highly recommended!

Its like stepping into a different period of time, the rooms were amazing the owner Richard was beyond awesome and the breakfast was fantastic. If youre looking at staying in Winona for a few nights I would highly recommend staying here.
