Mavericks Steak & Cocktails

Our table ordered 3 burgers medium. All 3 were well done. The brisket sandwich was good flavor but tough and big chunk of fat (not the good fat). Caesar Salad side was the best item ordered. The brisket nachos were very good as well.

Good food and drink options. Service was a bit slow at times, but then I realized it looked like our server was running tables clear over on the other side of the restaurant (not a complaint we were enjoying our evening chatting)

Where to even start? Read all the bad reviews, decided to give it the benefit of the doubt... that was a bad decision. Walked in, and it was super load and obnoxious, could barely even talk to our waitress, as we kept having to repeat ourselves. My friend and I ordered 20 Oz bone in, medium rare, ribeye steaks. $32 each, not a bad price. Finally, we got the steaks, I cut into mine, and it was well done, not medium rare. My friends was the same way, but he ate his anyways, I can't live with eating a pricey steak not done right. I sent mine back, about 20 minutes later I got tired of waiting as we're at the bar about to pay it comes out in a Togo box. I paid and walked outside, figured I might want to check it before I leave, and it was again well done. Asked for a refund, the "assistant general manager" told me he couldn't refund me until later in the evening, okay I guess, we will see if I took it hard when I don't get my money back. But also, the manager never once apologized for the fact my steak was not once but twice cooked wrong. Moral of the story, if it says steak on in the name, don't expect them to know how to cook one right. Also, don't give them the benefit of the doubt. Just go to Texas Road House and save a fee bucks.
