I came to Elton Optical, eye care center inside of Target, Savage, MN as a new patient expecting a routine eye exam. I first met with Mary. She was delightful and had a sense of humor I definitely appreciated. After my paper work was complete, I waited no more than 3 minutes before Dr. Reyes called me in. He was cordial, professional and attentive. After all my tests and the fact that I couldn't see nearly what I should be able to, he took the time to explain to me what was wrong with my vision. He informed me that I had high pressure behind my eyes, as well as cataracts which could cause the pressure, and he set up a referral for the removal of my cataracts. He also went through the entire fitting and examination so that I could keep driving until I could have surgery. He went the extra 10 miles to make sure I was taken care of. He was able to fit me with a pair of contacts that opened up my whole world. That extra effort allowed me to see exactly what I had been missing. Before leaving his office, and me being able to see better than I have in years, he looked at me and said, "We will not let you down." I went back to see Mary who helped me with a pair of cheaters, and found a pair that didn't look like they belonged to Ward Cleaver. Finally I would like to add, if you are looking for a place that cares about you as a person, no matter what your needs are or needs you didn't even know you had, this place is for everyone. Finally, Dr. Reyes, has to be the only Optician you or your family will ever need.

Disgusted! No one told me my appt was for premium contact lenses fitting (6 times the copay from a standard appointment) and the contacts weren't even the correct ones! When I tried to buy glasses, no one explained any of the lenses enhancements, a breakdown of charges or anything, they just told me $450 dollars and when I asked for a breakdown she huffed and rolled her eyes! In the end I bought the cheapest pair I could, but I had picked out two pairs. She never even told me what glasses she ordered. If I didn't pay so much for my useless eye med insurance and if Target wasn't a "preferred provider", I wouldn't have bought anything. No one explained ANYTHING to me. I was in there 3 times and every time I felt like a bother and inconvenience. I have used America's Best for years, until I thought eye insurance was a good idea. If you want to buy the most expensive glasses you can (without ACTUALLY knowing what you're paying for), if you want no one to explain your diagnosis to you and a place that won't even give you the correct contact lenses "to try out" after spending $67.50 for a copay...than Target should be your first choice!
