Luke is fantastic and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking to learn or improve their Mandarin. I am an adult learner and new to Mandarin. I started studying with him a year ago and continue to be impressed by his teaching ability and methodology. He does an amazing job of explaining the new concepts Im learning and catering his approach to match my skill level and goals. I could not imagine learning Mandarin without him. Thank you Luke!

My husband and I had a great experience with Luke's tutoring sessions! We had zero Chinese when we started and after only 12 weeks of lessons, we can introduce ourselves, ask basic questions, and pronounce new phrases correctly using pinyin! We are now living in China, and my only regret is that we didn't start classes sooner. I have been able to use what I learned from our sessions in real life, and I know I would have gotten even more from it with more lessons!

I began learning Chinese with Luke almost two years ago as an adult. He has always provided me with digestible amounts of work that has felt like an appropriate pace for my abilities. I appreciate his attention to detail with the Chinese tones and pronunciations. I have left every session feeling successful and always eager to learn more. I have been getting lessons from Luke for about 6 months now and I highly recommend his classes no matter your current skill level. I have lived in China for several years while taking classes and I feel that I am progressing with Luke faster than with my previous teachers. His style works really well if you are an absolute beginner working on tones or a near fluent learner just trying to brush up. You can even do classes remotely which has been working out really well for me!
