I was so impressed with everyone at the St Paul Eye Clinic. I loved Dr Hein and would recommend him to everyone. It was the best eye clinic experience I hav ever had.

Great doctors, glass/contact staff is rude (at the Maplewood location). As of 2023 they have been short staffed. When you call, usually you get someone who "isn't normally here". First, this person will place an order for you and then cancel it. You will spend 2 months trying to find your order. A few months later when you are looking for other items they will promise to leave a note for a regular staffer to get "look for the item and call you back". When you don't get a call back and you have to follow up the next week you get someone who really doesn't care to look for the item. They would prefer to be condeschendingly sweet just to get you off the phone. And when you call back to ask for a way to message the doctor because you are so livid you want to switch clinics and need info on your diagnosis a "manager" will calm you down and promise to call you back. And then not call you back. Again great doctors - but don't order contacts or glasses from them. Awful customer service. If you don't like customer service, don't have a job where you have to sell things to people and help them.
