Behavioral Healthcare Providers

Former contractor here. This was a very corporate feeling nonprofit. They provided much needed services to the community. Pay for many positions was better than average. Unfortunately, those who delegated responsibilities spread resources thinly, while doing a poor job of communicating roles and responsibilities to contractors and employees. There was a pervasive culture of secrecy, mistrust, and risk management. Most decisions were discussed and made within a small circle of trust. The highest administrator lacked visibility and connection with staff. Other top administrators did not have or employ the skills necessary to ensure the quality of services provided. The organization was founded on innovative ideas, but mediocrity slowly crept in over the years as staff realized that hard work simply lead to more work with minimal raises. A lot of talent has left and those who rock the boat are either fired or "not renewed".
