Nick Fairbanks and his team was unprofessional and difficult to deal with our entire loan process. There was a month plus gap in communication. The Friday before we were supposed to close we received an email from someone on his team. I believe her name was Terri. One of the rudest people I've had the displeasure in dealing with. She asked for documents to prove employment. We provided right away. She told us again that we were good and everything was good to go. Then, the day before closing we hear again from Nick this time at 3 pm, again the DAY BEFORE CLOSING, that they were still not able to verify employment. We did not hear from Nick until close to the end of what was supposed to be our closing day Friday that they were not able to verify employment and had to push closing until early the following week.
We had uhaul trucks that were loaded with all of our belongings PLUS having a 10 month old's crib and majority of clothing on the trucks that we were expecting to have unloaded and access to right away, but that was/is not the case. We were not able to extend one of the truck and had to scramble to unload one of the trucks into uhaul pods. So we had to extend one truck and rent 4 uhaul pods, extra expense that we were not expecting that Nick or team did not say they would be doing anything about.
We also had inspections, handymen scheduled to come in throughout the weekend to install new appliances and update water heater/filter/electrician/dry wall installation that we had to call and cancel and have yet to reschedule all.
We had internet scheduled to come out an install. We had to reschedule that as well. The earliest that we can have internet installed is September 30. We have two people in our household working from home and needing internet access.
We are scrambling to get everything rescheduled and our lives back in order. We took time off to get our trucks unloaded and our home set up, but the time off that was taken was a waste and now we are juggling 9-6 jobs, a 10 month old that requires attention and trying to get our house in order with Nick and his team doing nothing to help us out in this situation that He and his team caused.
We finally were able to close at 4pm the following monday, in which they had someone come in from a different office to oversee the closing. Someone we had never dealt with. Not once in the 2 hours that we were there signing did Nick or anyone on his team apologize or meet us. This entire process they did not apologize or take fault, just kept playing the blame game while we are still trying to get our lives in order.
