Sorry that I can't leave less than one star. My mom had hospice services provided by AccentCare Home Health in the summer of 2022. I thought that it was still Fairview Home Health Care and Hospice, and so did the hospital and doctors that recommended the services, they seemed to not have an idea that AccentCare had acquired their hospice. I don't begrudge the actual workers, some of them did a great job, but the Accent Care owners must know they can get away with providing little to no service, because there seemed to be no accountability in my case. They get the funds from Medicare and whether those funds trickle down to actual service to the patients and families in need was not apparent in our experience with them. I would call for help and they would provide the bare minimum, insufficient nursing visits, and when I reported my concerns to MDH it was confirmed that Accent Care Home Health had no system of logging calls in place and deficiencies were citied in Form CMS-2567. When I requested the records they kept, they reported false information, and also omitted records of me requesting help to calm my mother's agitation near her time of death. Rather than providing great care, it seemed like my mother was just a means to access funds, and I suppose that is what the business of AccentCare is from the leadership's perspective. Here is just one example of the care level we received: A bath aide (she was great) called and told me she would come around lunch, I said I didn't think my mom would last that long, so she came right away and started to bathe her and then declared her dead (no nurse visit of course) and I was told to call AccentCare, I did and the operator told me to call Crescent Tide for cremation services. I called Crescent Tide and they told me that the hospice had to call them first, so I had to call AccentCare again. This is just one example that illustrates the incompetency of AccentCare we experienced from as a family. By the way, Crescent Tide was fantastic and I highly recommend them.
