A frozen paradise awaits you at the St. Paul Winter Carnival. This annual celebration transforms Minnesota's capital, St. Paul, into a winter wonderland of celebration and joy, this year between January 25 and February 4. In 1885, a group of journalists visited Minnesota and referred to it as the other Siberia, which offended city authorities. In response, they came up with a plan to showcase the area's winter beauty. Thus was born the Winter Carnival, which offered various seasonal activities, such as sledding and horse racing on ice. Today, the celebration serves not only to impress visitors, but also to strengthen community ties through parades, markets, winter sports, and ice sculpture contests and displays.

I attended a speaking engagement there and the place was just so unique, clean and had a lot of history. I would never had know about this place, let alone heard about this place if I had not been there for this event. The people were so nice that greeted you as you came in the door. Very interesting history, I think there may be a nice place for a small wedding as well in one of the other rooms we didnt look into.
