My favorite spot in the Twin Cities. I'll make the drive to walk my dogs, pick up trash and enjoy the most ancient site in Minnesota. The trails are thousands of years old and in the fall, the sun sets behind Minneapolis. It's just a stunning beautiful place

I visited this park in the morning hours. This is when it is at its best. You can see eagles and deer here if you are quiet. It is absolutely lovely in the Fall. I visited again in November. I will add a note on the homeless staying in the park. This is not a safe environment for them in storms or as the weather gets colder. At Echo Point there has been an individual camping in the pavilion for several weeks now. The public cannot really use it with this person's stuff spread out in it. I have made subsequent visits, and I enjoy the fitness trail there. The Echo Pavilion has been used as a campsite each time I have visited. On one occasion the smell was noticeable. The Parks department needs to check regularly to make sure this structure isn't being used this way.
