Originally you brought your vehicle here for two collision claims but your mom wanted to have the entire vehicle painted and even though we no longer offer complete paint services we gave her a price because of who she was referred by. She did not want to pay out pocket to paint the rest of the car. So she ended up agreeing to just repair the body damage that was part of the two claims. She then started calling her local agent because she wanted your insurance company to pay to paint the rest of the vehicle. Per our conversation you said that the insurance agent would not return your calls. They would not approve the additional repairs necessary to paint the vehicle completely. This caused further delays to the repairs because we are not able to continue with repairs that the insurance company did not authorize. The authorization from your insurance company was not received until September 6th. The total repair days for the two insurance claims was 9 days for the front claim and 21 days for the right side claim for a total of 30 business days from the date of approval. This would put the repair into the 18th of October. We also had 24 additional days of repair for the unrelated damage on the panels the insurance company did not pay. There was poor prior paint work on every panel on the vehicle that the insurance company did not pay us to fix. We ended up having a total of 11 weeks of repair with the two collision claims and all of the unrelated damage that was on the rest of the panels that the insurance company did not pay for. So us completing your vehicle in 9 weeks was actually earlier than expected because of all the delays caused by your insurance company ignoring your mom for weeks while she was trying to get the additional panels approved. You posted this the same week that you picked up your vehicle. You did not want to wait for a calibration that was needed for the cruise control system so you picked it up Friday and brought the vehicle back Monday to get calibrated. Our technician even spent additional unpaid time adjusting gap issues that were unrelated to either claim. Not to mention that you and your mom were aware that the vehicle was previously in a major accident that caused alot of issues with gaps and peeling paint because they did not disassemble the vehicle before painting it after the major accident they repaired. We understand that the vehicle might of not been looked at closely when it was purchased. But there was alot of additional repairs that were needed that you were not charged for that had to be done before painting the vehicle. We wish you the best with your future vehicle purchases the only thing we would recommend is having a body shop inspect any used vehicles you purchase in the future so that you avoid having unnecessary paint issues or buying a vehicle that was not properly repaired. Lastly the manager of our facility was on vacation starting Tuesday of the week you picked up the vehicle but our staff did speak to you numerous times that week. We understand you were excited to drive the vehicle and wanted to use it before the snow since it is a rear wheel drive car but we have no control over your insurance company delaying repairs by ignoring your moms calls.
