Ice House Apartments

The the studio apartments are kinda small, but they get the job done. The building has sub par security and the neighborhood isn't the safest. But people keep to themselves and the rent is cheap. Also I hardly ever have an issue with management and I can't say that about many other apartments. The only REAL issue I have is that the walls are super thin so you can kinda hear everything. Also the train tracks or like 10 feet from the window so you WILL hear the train laying on the horn at random times of day, which really sounds alot worse than it is, you get used to it fast. If you're looking for the least expensive and most independent living, this is it. If you're looking for luxury probably look elsewhere

I rented here a couple years ago, but I wanted to share. The studio living space is actually pretty spacious! While I didn't use the murphy bed, even with my own bed in place I still felt there was plenty of room for a single person living space. The wood floors, while old, were nice to have. The high ceilings made it feel bigger than 350-some square feet I had. Kitchen appliances worked great, and no issues with management. My only complaint would be that the walls are pretty thin (though I could've been lucky with my neighbor), and the trains running by and blasting their horns. With the windows shut, it's not terrible, but come summer time with obstructions on the train tracks, be prepared to hear the horn blast incessantly...
