Rochester Beacon Academy

My experience is with the special education team at Beacon Academy. My son was there one year and I think we had three different special education teachers. There were a lot of inconsistencies and my son was not very happy there. I hope things change. We definitely need a school that can address the autism issues our children are facing.

Horrible! Bullying is out of control from students and staff! If your child has an allergic reaction they will make them WAIT until break to call for help. List goes on.removed my child immediately!

My twin boys attended RBA for six years and just graduated this spring. During the time they've spent at the school, they have both grown and thrived! The staff are dedicated to serving RBA's unique population of students and very clearly care deeply about their success. While no school is perfect, RBA has been the perfect choice for my kids. Because I believe that this school is a vital part of our community, I have served on the board for the last few years. With that, I can personally attest to the commitment of those involved to providing a safe place for students to learn and grow. I am incredibly grateful that my boys had RBA as an option for middle school and high school. Given the chance, I'd make the same choice again today.
