Travail is a wonderfully unique experience. As a former chef, I'm always a fan of the tasting menu, but Travial goes above and beyond! The "amusments" part of their name rings true throughout the evening. From the cocktail hour to kick it off, to the tableside preparation, and wrapping it up with some trivia, this is truly an all inclusive experience! Even though the menu is designed around bites and small plates, you will not leave hungry!!! The food just keeps coming! The flight pairings are wonderful as well... My girlfriend did the cocktail pairing, and I did the non-alcoholic pairing. Both matched the stages of the meal incredibly well, and speaking from an NA perspective, most of my options tasted like a legitimate cocktail through the creative use of nonalcoholic spirts. A night at Travail isn't cheap, but this is the perfect example of "you get what you pay for". 100% recommend for anyone looking for a unique dining experience that you'll remember for years to come. Kid-friendliness: DO NOT BRING A CHILD HERE!!!! This isn't a restaurant with a "kids menu". I would say 15 years old is the minimum.
