Rayito de Sol Spanish Immersion Early Learning Center

The teachers and staff at Rayito de Sol in Richfield are so loving and helpful, and great at their jobs! You can tell how much they love the children as soon as you walk in. They are always greeting the kids and giving hugs and smiling when the kids show up, and very good with the kids in general. The classes are small, and the classrooms are bright and fun environments for the kids, and filled with all kinds of activities. My daughter started when she was 2.5 and in less than 2 years, is speaking Spanish in full sentences all day at preschool (she did her kindergarten evaluation 80% in Spanish). They use the Procare app where the teachers send pictures of your child, as well as any reminders about special events or days off. You can pay in the app and you can easily message them in the app if you have questions about anything, or want to let them know youre coming in early, etc. Its not cheap, but we also love that they are open until 5:30pm for all kids! We do wish they could provide lunch so we wouldnt have to pack one every day, but they do provide drinks, and snacks in the morning and afternoon. Some of the teachers speak very little English - they are from Spanish speaking countries around the world, (which we love!) - so it can be a challenge to communicate occasionally, but many of them do speak English well, and the person in the office can always translate (as can the 4-year-olds) Another thing to note is that a few teachers have had to leave in the middle of the year successively, and I dont know why that is, but it was unfortunate for the little kids who had to get used to multiple new grownups in the same year. Overall we are very happy with everything at Rayito de Sol, and very grateful for everything the teachers do/are for our kids!

The teachers create a wonderful, safe and caring space for our kids. Our kids are extremely well behaved around other children and really enjoy going to school to play with their friends and maestras.

Rayito De Sol, Richfield is a wonderful learning facility that provides an enriched multilingual education with excellent faculty who are very enthusiastic about their work. As a Rayito graduate now in college, I can say that my background in Spanish education due to Rayito has helped me tremendously, and has allowed me to explore areas I never thought possible. I'm glad to have had the experiences I had during my time at Rayito, as it has made me a better, smarter person, and I have made life-long friends.
