This is our second year with Organic Bob. We started out using their lawn services. Having been pleased with those results, we added landscape design this year. Most recently, they installed a sunny boulevard pollinator garden for us. From turf removal, to soil preparation, to plant choices, to effective placement, to clean up, everything turned out better than we anticipated. We love it! And so do our neighbors and passersby. Services: Grass seeding, Landscape design, Lawn pest control, Yard work

Last year we began working with Organic Bob and we've been impressed with the early results. Our entire property suffered from back to back grub infestations and after trying some not so organic products we were left with nothing but barren dirt and weeds a plenty. Thankfully I found Organic Bob who did an entire lawn replacement. Removing the existing top soil, replacing with healthy top soil/compost, and seeding a tall fescue from scratch. I'll admit I had my concerns initially, however, I'd urge anyone to trust the process. A new lawn takes commitment from both the lawn care company and just as importantly the home owner. This last winter seems to have been tough on all of the lawns in our neighborhood and Organic Bob has helped coach us through making sure our lawn continues to become established for years to come. I can't thank Melissa on Organic Bob's sales team enough as she's been present through the process and able to give advice on what we can do to help minimize weed pressure while letting our lawn thrive. Our property is heavily shaded in parts and we have a 95# dog that runs crazy and the product is standing up to the test. We look forward to continuing our services with Organic Bob in years to come and on future properties. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to make the commitment to an organic solution to lawn care. Service: Grass seeding

Forget this business! They are either closed or are incredibly unprofessional. About a month ago I filled out their online request for a lawn analysis and an estimate. A couple weeks went by with no estimate and I had written them off. Then I got an email message from one of their sales people offering to do an analysis. We arranged a time and she came over and spent about 45 minutes measuring my lawn and explaining their process and products they use. She said shed get me an estimate within two days. After a week and no further communication from them I called them and left a message reminding them that they were going to send me an estimate. (She left no business card) There is no human answering the phone there so you have to leave a voice message. After several days with no response I tried calling back, this time using their Billing questions phone number. A woman answered the phone and told me shed relay my message to the appropriate person. More days went by but still no response. Finally, I went to their website and left another lawn analysis request to see if that would draw a response. Crickets. Too bad, I was impressed with what I read on their website, by the 18 other online positive reviews (are they fakes?), and by the salesperson. Yesterday I went ahead and signed a contract with another organic lawn company. (Unfortunately, I have missed the window for them to apply the corn gluten weed killed because I spent so much time waiting for Bob to give me an estimate.)

Summary: Do not use this company! Very poor client communication and very poor intra-company communication. Our entire back lawn had been torn up for a building project. On the recommendation of a neighbor, we had Organic Bob prepare our soil and plant a "bee" lawn. It was to have fescue grass, clover, self-heal, and creeping thyme. The picture we were shown was lovely and lush. It seemed like the most ecological way to restart our lawn. We paid for the entire care package of tea compost fertilization, etc. for the first year we had the lawn. Scheduling communication was difficult, as dates were changed at the last moment. We cared for our lawn as we understood we were to do, although we got no written information on that. Weeding we difficult to consider, as we did not know what was weed vs. part of the bee lawn. That's how poor the client communication was. A simple hand-out with care information would have been useful. What we got: Very tall clover, as we followed the mowing injunctions of the company. Insignificant amounts of the other forbs (self-heal and thyme). Some fescue, but mostly it was not visible in the clover. What we had in the second year: 1) A major infestation of creeping Charlie that took over 1/4 - 1/3 of our lawn by very early spring, as things were just greening up. 2) Clover that grew over a foot tall before blooming, and instructions were not to cut it until it bloomed. 3) Not much help dealing with the problem until we really insisted. Finally, we were directed to an organic herbicide and we killed the creeping Charlie. Bob himself said that he would dethatch and reseed the lawn at no charge in late fall (but we were to buy the seed ourselves). He suggested we cut the clover short, which did seem to help the clover and fescue that had survived. What we have now: Bob never dethatched and reseeded before the snow. Which means that our lawn is going to continue to be the scourge of the neighborhood next year. -----A seriously dissatisfied customer Service: Grass seeding
