Holiday Inn Express Minneapolis West - Plymouth, an IHG Hotel

Just your average hotel, free breakfast, and a small swing pool but at a great price. Room was clean and staff was friendly.

I just went inside to use the ladies room, in the lobby, but=[ there was a crowd of kinda loud, ghetto people in there, in the lobby. Not attractive... And then, when I went in the ladies room; despite how It's clearly new, with a really modern style in there.. The Bathroom clearly looked like it had not been cleaned...... anything in there, in some time. I imagine months. As I could see the floor was pretty filthy. Was in urgent Priority need to be mopped in there. (which I proceeded to let the Front Desk guy know, before I left.) But yeah; it was a shocking contrast I found in there! So much so I'm even posting this to tell about it! The shocking contrast was between -that it was clearly Brand New in there; a modern classy design of large beige Marble tile on the wall, a sleek modern Sink & Mirror design. very high end looking, very nice. But the surface of everything was filthy =[ I mean.. it was kinda extreme. The mess left in there was LEFT by people who have no manners, ... (But that said, it had clearly not been cleaned in this otherwise classy looking bathroom in months.) So I imagine.. Management, and a 'cleaning staff' that has'nt been properly Trained: HOW to Clean. Or, they have no pride in their work. It could be a combination of all of these. Also surprised that I found this in a Hotel in Plymouth? As Plymouth MN. certainly isn't a ghetto city. So this there felt strange. so, based-on the glaring +scarey neglect of the lobby restroom in (this particular location) HolidayInn, I would'nt choose to stay there.

My only complaint about this hotel was the artificial perfume stink in the room. It made me sick. Even our clothes absorbed the sickening smell. You need to have rooms that are fragrance free!

Tanisha was so helpful when I was visiting family here. She recommended top restaurants close by. The hotel is clean, rooms were clean, plenty of stocked towels and everything needed for the room. I forgot my toothbrush and luckily front desk had plenty to spare. I would come back again! Thanks for a pleasant stay.
