Went here to discuss meds for a few mental health conditions. I was told I was making an appointment with a psychiatrist. I did not see a psychiatrist. The woman who saw me, Viola, asked me medical questions and then gave me two meds options to pick from that she "likes to use for most people". She didn't ask for any input on my end beyond my diagnosis history and previous meds. I had a lot to discuss and many questions (I've been in the system for decades) but never got the chance. When I asked about side effects she said one needs to be taken same time every day or I'll get "withdrawal symptoms" and the other "doesn't". Wow very detailed info, thanks. I kid you not, this woman then tells me 20 or 30 minutes into our first one hour appointment "Make up your mind and pick one. We're burning time!" WHAT!? There was so much wrong with this appointment I'm really scared to try another provider here. This was the worst psych med appointment I've ever experienced. The pressure, rudeness and unprofessional attitude were shocking.

Would not recommend for Family therapy a lack of honesty and professionalism. There were things written negatively towards me that I did not say and it was misunderstood what I meant with other stuff. As if Lakeland chose one side over another. The results were little to no progress the therapy was stopped before it hardly began. They did do good at getting it started once it started everyone quit except for me.
