Please put a person who does Not have a heavy accent at the front. I couldnt understand him and when I asked to speak to someone else I was refused. Oh and the rent a security woman, Patti K, is the most passive aggressive person with the did you see the number on the wall. You can call this and get answers. Ahh no it doesnt have all the answers. Ugh. Too bad they dont care.

I went this past Friday as my license would be due on Memorial Day. I had to show up and wait, as I had a few factors elements to renewing my license that lead to not booking an appt beforehand - which I recommend over waiting. I am to be moving soon, and recently had to update my name after noting a spelling error on my birth certificate when I first got my license. With all these factors, I arrived around 12/1230p and had to wait about 3-4 hours before getting to the counter to be served. I found all staff to be helpful. The lady who checked me in, Carrie, also ended up being the lady who served me when signing up for my new license. Due to moving, I wanted to put my new address. However, I wont be moving til July, so Carrie recommend having a mailing address that I knew I could send this license to. So we used my parents address. I originally wanted an enhanced ID but due to the moving, I didnt have enough credentials to verify this address. So she helped recommend the standard for now, while still being able to update my address so it would be correct/have my soon to be new address on there. Then recommended I come back after moving to get the REAL ID or Enhanced, when Id have enough documentation to verify my new address. Carrie was kind throughout the process and helped me figure out what would help me get the items I needed on my new license. She helped change my name to reflect its update, and as mentioned, got my new address on there. Both things I had been hoping to achieve, and was able to, thanks to her help. Carrie had been checking in individuals before I got called up to the counter later that day. She had dealt with some not so kind guests. Especially one lady who was beyond rude and entitled, and showed up within the hour of the DMV closing. Carrie tried her best to help the lady, even when the lady got more and more disgruntled and rude. Carrie remained kind and tried her best to offer various solutions the lady was not interested in listening to, and eventually left to book a future appt. Carrie deserves to be recognized for her hard work, compassion, and ability to help all people, even the difficult ones. She made my visit to the DMV as easy as possible and ensured that Id be able to at least have my license renewed, even if it wasnt the original plan to keep my standard DL. I appreciate her and all the DMV staff who do a job that many of us under appreciate.
