I would give a 6th star if I could. My wife and I worked with Renee to buy our first home, and it could not have been a better experience. Renee was responsive, attentive to our needs, and an overall joy to work with. She also gives incredibly honest (and sometimes very funny) feedback that any homebuyer who is unfamiliar with the real estate market would appreciate. I would recommend Renee to anyone looking to buy a home.

I've had Renee help me with buying and selling a few different properties over the years. She has always been by my side during the process and had my back throughout. Through our conversations, she knew exactly what I was looking for in a home and we were able to find what I was looking for because of her attention to detail. If you are looking for a detail oriented realtor to either help you sell your property or to help you find just the right place, I highly recommend Renee.

Renee provided competent, consistent and professional service from start to finish with my recent home purchase. This is the second time Renee has represented me in purchasing a home. She is a great educator, able to answer questions related to the purchase/sales process. If she doesn't readily know the answer, she will use her resource base to get the answer. She pulls on her experience to offer insight into questions I wouldn't have otherwise considered. Renee is a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend her services!

I would be suspicious of this 5-star rating if i were you.
I am a tenant in an apartment Renee sold. In addition to contacting the tenants at absurd hours (10PM on a Friday) about potential showings at ludicrous hours (9PM on Saturday nights, next-day showings, etc.), Renee was rude, dismissive, and apathetic toward myself and my neighbors in almost all interactions.
At a certain point, Renee stopped asking what time would work for showings (we have pets and children at this apartment complex and did not want to let unaccompanied strangers into our homes late at night) and just told us when she would be showing.
She was present for only ONE of the NINE showings that occurred over the course of two months, leaving many prospective buyers stranded and all of the tenants irritated. When I brought up how frequently showing requests were being made and suggested setting up an open house, she declined, instead insisting that we would simply need to let unaccompanied strangers into our home individually and whenever she pleased--sometimes with as little as 16 hours notice.
Now that my apartment building has been sold, I've heard from the new owners that she refused to pass along the tenants' contact information and was horribly rude to the buyers. To quote them, "I don't understand how she can be so rude."
Renee serves a perfect example of how terrible you can be at your job and still make money hand-over-fist in real estate. Renee is thoroughly horrible at her job and equally horrible to interact with. It's truly remarkable how every single person involved in this process, whether buyer, seller, or tennant, has been disappointed, frustrated, and let down by Renee Mikkalson. If you have already hired her, I feel only remorse for you, your tenants, and your prospective buyers.
One last fun tidbit: Renee never informed us, nor our neighbors, that our property had even sold. Wholly incompetent person.

Renee helped my husband and I buy our first home. We had an amazing experience with her! Renee is incredibly knowledgeable, responsive, kind, and funny. She made finding and putting together an offer for our home enjoyable and as low-stress as possible. I can't recommend her enough!
