Hwa Rang Do Martial Art Academy

Very good experience and interactive martial arts class. They cause the pupils to forget a true bond with each other as the progress through the belt ranks. Truly amazing.

I have been training in Hwa Rang Do/Tae Soo Do since 2007 and at the Minneapolis academy since 2016. The martial art is a comprehensive fighting system and is truly a lifestyle martial art as it includes practice in meditation and healing arts. The academy in Minneapolis is truly an amazing space and has the most vibrant community I have seen at a martial arts school. I feel supported and motivated by Master Sirny to achieve my life goals and continually grow as a person. If you want to elevate yourself I cannot think of a better place to do so. Highly recommend HRD Minneapolis!!!

Our son has been attending Hwa Rang Do for 5 years and it's been a great experience for him. The instructors are wonderful with the kids, patient yet firm and committed to getting kids to be their most excellent selves. They are also committed to being transparent with parents about costs and time commitment. Win-win!

We learned about TLK martial arts after school care 2 years ago and appreciated the focus on resiliency and growth. Our kids enjoyed the physical training, building new skills, and free time for games. It has been a great environment for our kids.

We have twin boys going to Kindergarten in Richfield. We looked at *lots* of after-school options and are so glad we went with Hwa Rang Do. The kids enjoy getting better at martial arts it's so fun to see them practicing their moves at home, and they felt so proud when they graduated to the next belt color. And the portion of the program that isn't martial arts is exactly what we wanted in an after-school program: the instructors are great with the kids, and find a balance between letting them goof off and get out energy and keeping the environment calm and organized. Every time we pick up the kids they're in the middle of some creative new art or craft, from making gingerbread houses to making their own "swords" from cardboard to beading and sculpting. I really like the physical space too lots of board games, art supplies, and books, as well as foosball, an aquarium, and couches to just hang out. We highly recommend this program! Thanks to all the staff!
