Renaissance Minneapolis Hotel, The Depot

This hotel is located close to the Twins and Vikings stadium. The history of this place is incredible. I loved getting to work on the patio and sit by the fireplace. The only thing that was different was that the sink was outside the bathroom with no door. So, if you are trying to sleep while your spouse is getting ready, the light keeps you up. Besides that, it's a great place to stay with a historic touch.

The room was okay, but we had a toilet that wouldn't stop running every few minutes and had to shut the water off when we went to bed to avoid it waking us up. The shower was also not a good experience, water pressure and temp hard to control. The biggest thing though is the smell. The signature smell in the lobby, which is purposefully pumped into the common areas (i asked the front desk about it) is so strong its hard to believe people could eat or drink anything down there in the bar area. I could taste it just walking through. Overall not worth the money.
