This one hurts, I used to shop here all the time, now that I've been fired from this place I can confidently say I'll never shop here ever again. Upper management is greedy and doesn't listen to the workers below. They added self checkout lanes and removed a cashiering job, hoping no one would notice. Schedules are extremely volatile and will change at a moments notice, they couldn't even accommodate me taking one class. When I told them how the change was effecting me mentally they told me multiple times how they could do nothing to give me my old schedule back (I worked mornings for months with no issue), Further more they don't care about their African speaking customer base, no matter what they say to the contrary. To summarize: gentrification central that says they care about you to your face but do so very little to back up those claims. Worst rated co-op in the country as of 2023 (according to the NCG) and I have a feeling it will win that honor again in 2024 and beyond if they keep doing what they're doing

Visiting the area and looking for organic produce to plan several chicken dishes around. Was excited to be able to do so at a co-op, but then I found out they've been replacing cashiers with self-checkout! Next thing you know they'll stop taking cash! Can't support this step toward a tyrannical future where every transaction we make is tracked to the penny.
