I wish my first phone call would have been to Custom Door Sales! The spring broke on one of our garage doors I called a local garage door company that is very well known. Their tech came out and immediately pulled out his clipboard writing down a laundry list of things that he would be inspecting and what it would cost to replace them all which was $1200. I told him I only wanted the spring replaced but if he wanted to go ahead and do his 10 point inspection, then go for it! He looked over the motor, the chain everything in that 10 point inspection and agreed that replacing the spring should be fine. Four days later, garage door would not open. Called the company that had just been out and was told they couldnt do anything for several days. I asked if their tech had done this precise 10 point inspection why he didnt spot something that was clearly going to become inoperable in four days, which ended up being the gears. They were of zero help! I called Custom Door Sales, which was referred to me by my brother and Dean was knowledgeable and helpful and got a tech out the next day. Steve arrived on time and was courteous and friendly and knowledgeable! He explained that it was the gears and that he was not able to repair as it was a brand, he wasnt familiar with, so I asked how much it would be to replace the whole motor and it was $590, half of what the other company wouldve charged. Steve installed the new motor with two new remotes and installed an opener on the wall inside the garage and outside the garage door. He went above and beyond and charged exactly what he quoted. I will never go with anyone else when dealing with my garage doors Steve also pointed out that the spring the other company installed was way too big for a single garage door and that the amount they charged me for it was $80 more than he would have. So grateful to find an honest company to do business with when all the other big companies are simply looking to make money!

Custom is my go-to for fixing issues with my home's garage doors. Most recently my 24 year old opener went out and they were able to come out the next day and replace it. Awesome customer service and expert technical knowledge.

Less than 4 hour response time from when I called for service. The tech [Carl] was efficient and knowledgeable. Around a 30 minute repair to replace the spring [9x7 single garage door], and the cables did not need to be replaced like I had believed, so was repaired for Under the quoted price. Highly recommended company!
