They're great at what they do but they're not good with numbers. Please doublecheck your invoice and rebates before you spend over a month trying to get a refund.

The Center For Energy and Environment works with communities, utilities, residents and businesses to reduce energy usage. One of their programs, the Home Energy Audit is affordable and more than pays for itself! I had two very professional Home Energy Squad professionals spend over two hours in my home checking the insulation, installing weather stripping, fixing a door so it closed without having to tug on it, replaced lightbulbs and gave me ways to make improvements that would save energy. They gave me a quote for insulation and provide a list of contractors who can also do the work. They did a blower door test, where they measure how much air is escaping my home. They used infrared to see leakage in walls, doors, vents, ceiling light fixtures, etc. - this was hundreds of dollars in value for only $50. They have discounts for low income families, too. Can't say enough great things about CEE and their programs! Low interest loans for energy saving upgrades like windows, insulation, furnace, hot water heater, etc. Don't do a home improvement project without first checking out their website!

CEE is an amazing project synthesizing hands-on installations of things like flowsaver aerators for sinks , showerheads, weatherstripping for doors, technical support, referrals for trusted contractors, and energy efficiency help... for both homeowners and renters, and financing for efficiency and renewable energy improvements to buildings and homes. They also have a powerful and growing presence in general outreach and education which is very committed to inclusiveness, centering BIPOC and women in a refreshingly inclusive way. I love that they are not only diverse in the people they serve and are recruiting, but also in the deeply multifaceted way the company walks its vision of sustainability and community.
