image Hard to give a star rating. If I could rate the teachers separately from the corporate structure theyd easily get a 6/5. Its so clear that the individual teachers really care about the kids in their charge.
That said, endeavor schools pushes for profits too much. There were 36 kids in the preschool class my kids was in when state max is 20. Our kid was moved up to preschool and lower ratios before she was 31 months (legal minimum if parents and school are in agreement) to make room for other kids to come in and pay too.
Rates were raised earlier than scheduled to align with their other schools with the promise they wouldnt be raised again for 1.5 years only to raise them again a year later.
They slowly stopped doing the extra things that make school fun for young kids like water days and walks. I assume because of the abnormally large class sizes.
Again, I can not stress enough that our kid loved all the teachers. I never once worried about her safety. She learned a ton!
Ultimately we had to leave because she was constantly overwhelmed and disregulated due to the sheer chaos of 36 3-4 year olds in a small room all day.
We live in the neighborhood and if wed had another infant theyd absolutely be on our list. But I just dont think that the corporate pressures aligned with a good preschool experience.

image My daughter has been enrolled at Step by Step since she was four months old and we have had a great experience. She lights up when she sees her teachers every day! They update me regularly, have great COVID protocols, and I truly feel that they care about my daughter. What a special place!

image Both of our kids have been enrolled at SBS-SA for the last couple years and overall it's been a great experience! No matter how much adversity and disruption Covid has brought over of the last 18 months, Ms. Michelle and her teachers truly put the well-being of the kids before their own. The learning, socialization, and play have all been invaluable to us as parents and it shows as the kids continue to thrive through it all. The teachers have huge hearts for the sacrifice and compassion they bring to the job and we're grateful for everything they do.

image We have appreciated and enjoyed our time at Step by Step. Our toddler doesn't want to leave at the end of the day! The teachers have done a great job connecting with her and comforting her while she transitioned out of COVID life to being around people and away from family. We think she's learning a lot too.
