This summer (2019) I worked for Brooksource onsite for a large Health Care client. I hadn't done contract in a while but after a downsizing needed to stay working in my field. I was VERY picky about who I'd want to work with.
What I can tell you is (if your considering them) is that they are "hands on" in a good way. Slightly too large to be considered boutique but not huge by any stretch they are invested in you from first interview though your tenure. Maybe as they scale they will lose that personal touch but it was a big differtiator when I looked at them. I hope it remains part of their DNA.
Bryn Gilbert particularly (my liaison person) is an amazing person to interact with and really helped things go smoothly. In contract work its nearly unheard of to have a singular point of contact in an what can be called almost a concierge experience. I didn't need her for much (I am pretty self sufficient) but it was great knowing she was there.
My only caution (and it's a small one) is that as a smaller firm they don't always have contracts that need filling in your field. I happen to be placed in a role where the budget kept getting cut and I wasn't sure they'd keep funding my position. It ended up being fine and I got offered a full time role in the end but I didnt necessarily feel I could simply shift to another contract if the worst happened.
To be brutally honest all contact sourcing companies want to do is put a warm body in a n open contract. They know it, and you know it. Brooksource does as well, but approach it with a real human touch. You feel they are in if for you and will to any length to support you. It creates a true bond for sure.
I mean heck, I havent worked for then since September but writing an honest review because I truly believe we all can use as much support and humanity as we can get.
I'd recommend Brooksource to anyone.
