I was very surprised to have received such a negative review 2 years after having been retained by Mr. Rivera. It is always unfortunate when one misrepresents the hard work of another. Having represented thousands of clients over the last 30 years, I have been grateful for the appreciation they showed. My experience and knowledge have benefited many, including clients who graciously gave honest reviews on this site. Though attorney ethics do not allow discussing the substance of one’s client's case, suffice it to say that as an attorney one is ethically obligated to inform potential clients of all possible outcomes of their case, be fully prepared for hearings and make court appearances. Mr. Rivera’s misrepresentation of my advice, appearance at the hearings and fees is regrettable.It saddened me when I saw this review's misstatements about the fees, knowing that a large portion of my law practice has been pro-bono and low fee to help those who are in difficult financial situations. My law firm has contributed many hours and cases at reduced fees, especially during COVID, to help the Court and defendants during the pandemic. Mr. Rivera was one of the clients that benefited from that service and advice.
