Joy Architecture + Interior Design

Joy and Laura were the key to the success of our remodel project. We went through a lot of iterations and finally distilled the design down to what fit our needs both aesthetically and within our budget. We love how the design incorporates the garden into our home and it would not have turned out this nicely without their expertise. I first met Joy and Allison after I purchased an old house in South Minneapolis. When I purchased the house, I knew that there were many things I wanted changed before I would love calling it my home. I met with a number of architects prior to contacting Joy (who was recommended to me by a colleague). However, unlike Joy and Allison , none of those architects were able to take my thoughts and ideas and turn them into a visual representation which far surpassed what I thought was possible with the house. Their innovative approach and ideas resulted in a transformation of my home into one that perfectly reflects my style. Joy and Allison have a tremendous drive, work ethic, and commitment to their clients. I was new to and unfamiliar with this entire process and They were always there for me to answer any questions or concerns I had. It was clear that they were representing me and keeping my best interests in mind while managing the relationship and issues that arose with the contractor. Joy and Allisons creativity, knowledge, experience and critical eye for architecture and design are all reflected in what is now my amazing and incredible home. I realize more and more how lucky I was to have found them, not only for their innovative designs and plans but also for the amount of caring, passion and soul they put into my home. I highly recommend Joy Martin Architecture without reservation and am already using them again on Phase 2 of my home transformation.
