We had our furnace go out. Non Emergency since we heat with wood also. Jesse came out and spent 1 hr and came up with a diagnosis of heat exchanger was bad. It was under warrenty so in all the labor was going to be $1500 . I agreed to pay, then when we got the bill.. he added 200.00 ontop for some"trip charge"?? Well he put maybe 6 hrs total into his labor.We desputed the so called "trip charge" since it was never disclosed. End of this story is he made $1500 in labor(twice the average labor rate for that job )for 6 hours and then threw another $200 ontop that was never disclosed or comunicated at all. If he had a minimum of a $200.00 trip charge for diagnostics..we would understand-but he adds this to the top of his bid. Not a good practice to do to customers.

Jesse Herron @ Brainerd Lakes Heating and Air brought his A-game and diagnosed the problem where I mistakenly flipped a power-switch when checking the air filter. Jesse also educated me that the expensive extra-fine furnace filters I was using could be causing the furnace fan to work harder than needed. The cheaper filters might be easier on the pocket-book and the furnace. Im calling Jesse Herron, Dr. Herron from now on. You might too.

Our furnace exhaust motor, heat exchange and ECM motor went out this winter the weekend it was -25 degrees. Jesse took care of everything-highly recommend him if you find yourself in a similar situation. Service: Heating system repair
