Hy-Vee Grocery Store

We are members and use the delivery service a few times a month, so we only go into the store occasionally. We have yet to find a time when this store isn't busy. Between all the people and little kids pushing tiny carts, it can be hard to just walk through to get what you need. I'm not a fan of all the yelling over the loudspeaker either. Last time I was there, they kept shouting about someone's birthday, among other things. Reminds me of Kmart in the 80's. We've checked out other stores in the area and discovered Hy-Vee is by far the most expensive place to buy groceries. That being said, they do carry some things other stores do not. And their self checkout seems more streamlined than most. Employees are always friendly, too. It's a nice, overcrowded, super busy place with great options but high prices.

Sad to find HY-Vee downtown not offering on line shopping & pick-up. I know the store and its' quality of product with service that is outstanding. I finished my selection and was processing everything when I discovered the change, sent my order to Adams ST location & picked the products up in a timely manor. I think I will need to reprocessing if I am willing to travel that distance or not. All in all Hy-Vee is still a favorite shopping spot for me.
