Birch's on the Lake Brewhouse & Supperclub

A mind blowing brew house with a beautiful view of lake- Long lake. They have Live music, great food, lovely service and mind blowing view to share. The place is casual to visit with friends and family. We had crab and artichoke dip, fries along with the seasonal Mexican beer which was stunning and the cherry on the top was the dessert, a perfect piece to close our date night I would love to visit this place again on warmer weather and sit in the open tables close to the lake.

I really wanted to give this place more stars. Food was average, prices were high, and service was questionable. I ordered a salad and added jumbo shrimp for +$12. Was disappointed to see three medium shrimp for that price.

I was unable to actually enjoy my experience at Birch because we never ended up going. When calling and expressing confusion over prices and cancellation charges the manager was extremely rude to me. I was trying to express empathy for her end while also trying to hopefully let her see things from what our experience was. She ended up canceling our reservation before we even actually stated that we for sure wanted to cancel and hung up the phone on me after telling me I was making things very difficult for them. I understand stressful jobs, I understand hard days, but for management to be so appallingly rude at a restaurant where Im possibly about to go drop $390 at in a single brunch for 4 adults and 2 kids (or pay a $150 cancelation fee) does not feel understandable. I think there were a lot of ways our discussion could have gone. Management immediately became defensive, accusatory and unprofessional (talking over me and hanging up before I had even actually come to a decision about what our plan was to move forward). Just be sure to know what youre paying for and what the cancelation fee is before you give your credit card information to this restaurant.

We had a table of 19 and the manager was very accommodating. The staff were absolutely fantastic and we never saw a bottom of a glass. We explored many of the menu options from the short rib tacos to the lobster rolls. Everyone agreed that the food was a 10/10. Bold and beautiful flavors! The presentation was also beautiful and not lacking. The relish tray like most supper clubs have, was also a pleasant experience with a cheese pt, boiled egg, sweet pickles, potato salad and more. The ambience was 2nd to none and we will be back for a date night as it has a really romantic feel. We are a loud Minnesotan family that enjoys family and friends. We were embraced by patrons and staff. Everything was enjoyable and beautiful. We will definitely be back. Xtreme Pest Solutions Owner - Beau Geer
