Physical therapist showed up once and then stopped responding. Occupational therapist told us they were ordering a walker and weve never heard back or had another visit.

Getting started with this company is an absolute nightmare. I thought it might be a fluke and just myself and 1 other. But were months in now and the HR issues are getting worse. They cant find fingerprints although I spoke with DHS and the fingerprinting place who confirmed the fingerprints are done. Im being told to get the potential employees fingerprinted again because its not HHC fault. Another employee gets asked to take TB tests practically every other week although it has been done.Nothing is their fault and when it comes to problem solving, they just wont talk. Also, I had an issue with someone named Michael who Ive only spoken to once to tell me he coming out to see my grandmother. I asked if he had a time frame because my grandmother has dementia and is very leery of new people. He proceeded to tell me what my grandmothers (a 90 year old) schedule should be. She should be up, that with 4 hours a day of care, someone should be there whenever he got there, said that thats why GPS exist to make sure that Im where Im supposed to be. My grandmother lives with me so Im here 24 hours a day and I work at home. He then told me he has other clients, that I was being unprofessional for asking for a timeframe, and hung up in my face. Reported to HR, havent heard anything. Had to get another nurse to come out that day due to the time sensitive issue.

My 91 year old grandmother has gotten weaker due to health issues (including breaking her femur). For almost a year she has been working off and on with another home care agency (after breaking her femur) and their therapy sessions were effective enough to get her stronger and back up and walking each time she has had a health issue. Recently she has been hospitalized for a different reason. We requested that same agency when she was hospitalized and the hospital told us that they were setting up services with the same company, but they didn't. It was this agency. So, since this agency has good reviews, we just stayed with them (it's been about a month). My grandmother has not seen any success with physical therapy. They have PT assistants come to the home who conduct ineffective exercises (at least they were ineffective for my grandmother). They only came out once a week and because my grandmother didn't make progress they stated that the insurance company doesn't pay them if she doesn't make progress. So, instead of them examining the effectiveness of their services, they sought to blame the family (including her PCA) for not doing physical therapy at home with her everyday when no one in the family are trained physical therapists and can only work with her when she isn't feeling weak so as not to risk her falling again. This company should take responsibility for their own lack of effectiveness instead of trying to use a scapegoat. One supervisor was understanding when we reported our experience. Then another one called back and proceeded to co-sign the condescending conversation and lack of responsibility that we originally had with the physical therapist. I have no idea how this company has good reviews.
