Crosstown Surgery Center

Im an RN with a critical eye for excellence. This was my first experience with Crosstown Surgical Center in Edina, MN. The care and CARING from every employee there on 12/16/22 was top knotch. Ill be recommending their facility to my neighbors on NEXTDOOR. I kept commenting to the staff how evident it was that they enjoyed working with each other - which says a lot about how well managed this facility is. In fact, Im thinking about applying to be part of their team, I was that impressed.

I have completed a staggering amount of surgeries all over the world (we are talking double digit number). Temporarily living in Minnesota, I have gone to tria, Mayo Clinic, Fairview southdale and now TCO. This review is for a total hip replacement with Excel program: I always have the same/similar but slightly different experiences with surgerieswith the exception of TCO. Doctors are spot on, no BS but attentive and knowledgeable, giving the patient the information to take charge of their own health decisions. Surgery center (not a crowded hospital) had state of the art equipment, friendly staff and a unique protocol for medication and procedures (which at first I was a bit nervous about as I got the spinal and a interesting narcotic free cocktail . but it managed the pain way better than heavy narcotics and NOT going fully underbelieve it or not). After surgery, the suite recovery center (yes suite! nicer than most hotel rooms- similar finishes to the Westin, no Nasty lights, beeping machines or curtains- brilliant!) you are doted upon like royalty. Down comforters, multiple choices for seating, desk, storage, rotating tv, mini fridge, clean, and quiet. Food is brought in from local restaurants (no hospital food here folks!) Meanwhile they organize your appointments, meeting your PT in your suite! Doing your first appointment on site! I was walking hours after surgery and laughing with the wonderful nurses and PT. I have never in my life had such a wonderful experience (that includes some of the most grand hospitals in the world- like private hospitals in Dubai). At TCO, Your comfort is their number one priority, and it shows- the aftercare staff love their jobs, and really care. I wish I had more stars to express my gratitude. All this coming from a realist (pessimists word for optimism), female in science who never writes reviews :)
