My husband and I had a great experience working with Ed when we sold our home. Ed has a professional, calm, and pleasant personality. His attention to detail as well as his big-picture approach aided in our successfully and quickly selling our home. In August, we knew we wanted to list our house in February/March. We approached Ed six months before we wanted to list our house to ask whether he would work with us to get outside photos taken to capture the beauty and privacy of our wooded backyard before all the trees shedded their leaves. Ed quickly arranged for a professional photographer to take the photos, which, ultimately, were included on the listing. Four months before listing, Ed had a stager walk through our house to make recommendations to improve the appearance of our house to give us time to make the suggested improvements. I have no doubt these two actions impacted our ability to sell our home as quickly as we did and at the price we did. During the pre-listing and listing process, he was spot on with his communication. He sent us documents and updated comp info as they became available and provided timely responses to us and all other parties involved with the sale of our property. We trusted his years of knowledge of the market when we settled on a selling price. He made the sale of our home seamless and easy. We sold our house above the asking price in two days, due in large part to having Ed as our real estate agent. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

I lived for three years in two of Ed's properties. He was always prompt, accommodating, and responsive - easy to get in touch with, quick to make repairs, flexible with move-in/out when necessary, and fair with his pricing. A great guy who wants to make sure his renters are comfortable, and who takes solid care of his properties. Highly recommended!

Ed helped us sell a home near Northfield after our family member passed away. It was not a simple transaction. We were dealing with probate, a confusing lakeshore easement, and a spring storm that dropped a tree onto the roof just before putting the property on the market. Ed worked tirelessly to navigate each roadblock in the process. He lined up contractors to remove the downed tree and fix the roof and connected us to a great estate sale organization to clear out the house. His guidance and professionalism were outstanding. I would highly recommend working with Ed Shaefer to sell your property.

We cannot say enough good things about our experience with Ed. He was recommended by two colleagues/friends and are so grateful for it. Ed really took the time to understand exactly what we were looking for and was always so responsive to any feedback we sent on suggested listings. More importantly, in moments when we were willing to lower our standards because the market was making us jumpy and impulsive, Ed always had our best interests at heart. He would give us his honest opinion and tell us when he thought we were not thinking through all the potential issues. And, no one was more supportive than Ed when one of our offers didnt go throughhe really took the time to not only get more information on the chosen offer but also, understand our perspective. And, he used that knowledge to help us with the next offer (which was approved!). Ed was also incredibly patient and willing to check out multiple properties with usmany of which required him to go to the listing and FaceTime us given that we were out of the state. There is no doubt that Ed truly cares about his clients and has their best interests at heart. And, there is no one we would go with but him in the future! Highly, highly recommend.
