Bob was the best tech I have had for MRI imaging. He was kind and informative. He made certain my every need was addressed. He told me scan duration and how many were left for each area. I have MS endured MRI scans yearly for 8yrs. Scans for brain and spine take an hour. The room was bright with windows the lumbar support and elbow pads helped a lot. The mask was more see-through less like a hockey mask cage this made me feel less claustrophobic and locked in much better experience. Highly recommend this location for MRI scans

I agree with all the reviews that complain about their billing practices. I am in nightmare mode as I can't get anyone to explain why I received a bill outside the medical system I used. I have never in my 15 years of using Fairview have I received a bill from an outside contractor. Medicare gave me the name and phone number of the Dr that signed the reading of my scan and it is a non working number. BTW, I had the same test a year ago for the same reason at the U of M and all was covered. Stay away from anything at Southdale. Update: And now that they read the above review I got a call and message from a named person. When I tried to call her back I got the same call center. Two different call center people said they had no idea how to reach her. FYI, they finally wore me down enough and I was concerned about my credit, I paid the bill. I cant stress enough..do not get an MRI at Southdale.

Although the staff when I went for a routine cancer screening appeared to care that is where it stops. Receiving an explanation of benefits from my insurance company showed for the first time that I owed in 3 years. When I contacted the insurance company they said that it had been coded incorrectly. I contacted suburban and had to wait 3 days for a response then to find out that they denied coding it incorrectly but did tell me the code they used to use had been deleted and I needed to go back to my Dr to get a new order. I have now been placed I the middle of the insurance company the insensitive suburban imaging billing dept.  and my Dr all because I want to make sure I am healthy and that my insurance company would pay for my visit which they had for the last 3 years. I will be going elsewhere and also making sure if it comes up in a conversation especially with my Dr about the insensitive billing dept who apparently has to be right regardless. The person I got the message from that said I needed to do more footwork Katie, needs to have a bit more bedside manner and maybe even care more about people's health instead follow who is right.
