After utilizing Ameriprise Financial services for over 7 years, we finally elected to leave this establishment. While Confetti Wealth is very well known for one particular founder there, we never met her, heard from her, or were advised by her despite having an almost decade-long relationship there and a significant amount of resources invested there. We were very satisfied for the first few years we were there, and were able to get our finances in line. We had excellent advisement about estate planning, retirement, etc. However, once our specific financial advisor left, the service was dramatically different. Not only was our previous financial advisor under a non-compete to work with us, but we found the advise and customer service to be unfortunately lackadaisical thereafter. During the initial COVID market crash, we weren't advised about tax-loss harvesting and lost a significant amount with no guidance from them. Bummed, as we had a good relationship prior. That said, the advice shouldn't be so variable with a change in advisor. Going with a discount brokerage house for advice now.
