Here's one of the things I like best about Joel and his whole team. They are first of all in the people business. They genuinely care about people and their love for the law is the method by which they have each chosen to demonstrate that care. I've needed to make several changes to my plan over the years and Joel has guided me through some challenging life circumstances with great wisdom and empathy. I've had the privilege of seeing how generous Joel is with his staff and as a former business owner I understand the importance of valuing and treating your staff well. Another thing that really impressed me was his flat fee structure. Lawyers as a group tend to get a bad rap in part I think because of their "billable hours". As part of the way that Joel cares for his clients, he has chosen a flat fee structure which feels safe and comfortable. I've never worried about how much a phone call, a question or time making changes was going to cost me. In fact, I consider every dollar I've spent with Joel as being the very best of investments that I could ever make.
