Doran Companies

The building that I happily leased with for my business, sold to Doran. Since then, things have gone downhill, I'm guessing because of cutting costs in maintenance. I address an issue, they apologize, yet no resolution. If you are looking to rent from one of their offices do your homework, talk to the current leasers. Hopefully, maybe this is only happening in our building, but my guess is no.

I came to visit a friend at her apartment that is currently under construction with this company. Her apartment, and the building as a whole, is absolutely freezing. It was below 10 degrees outside and this company found that to be an appropriate time to strip the outside of building, leaving the residents of the (quite large) building with freezing cold apartments. Apparently after MANY residents complained, they were told its an issue with the windows and has nothing to do with the construction. I think anyone with half a brain would know the extreme drop in temperature throughout the ENTIRE building is due to poorly timed construction and not some mass failing of windows. I hope this company takes responsibility for the situation its caused and does everything it can to ensure the residents in the building can be safe during the absolute coldest part of winter. Shame.

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. Palisades Apartments - Roseville, MN Doran was hired by my apartment complex to do an exterior remodel from September 2023 - April 2024. It has been a living hell having them here. They take over the entire parking lots for the residents; leave a hazardous mess all over the complex grounds especially for people with dogs e.g. saw blades, insulation foam, concrete/siding debris, large pieces of glass, trash, etc.; Dorans horrible time and project management is causing heat loss emergencies in over 40 apartment units; the list goes on My apartment has not gotten above 60 degrees (set at the maximum temperature) since Dorans crew stripped the stucco, exposing the insulation, and barely covering it with a single layer of low quality housewrap. Ive reported this to the property manager, and they informed me that Doran is claiming its the windows and not a construction problem. The windows are not the problem, there were no issues with heating last winter and we had the exact same windows. If I could address the foreman of this job myself I would, but the property manager is not legally allowed to disclose that information. Doran get some standards and do better because this is hazardous. I reported this to both the Minnesota attorney general and the Minnesota department of housing.
