I've been a member at people incorporated Northside community support program since 2004. I became a member one year after my oldest sister died of stomach cancer 2003. So I have known John and Jimmy two of the staff members since 2004 and Jen I have known for about 5 years, Lisa I've known about 3 years. Richard I've known for about 2 years, the staff at this center have helped and saved several lives since I've been there. Jimmy helped me get my first apartment which I still live in and John, Jimmy, Jen, Richard and Lisa have saved my life several times because I wanted to commit suicide after my sister died they helped to find a reason to live. It's not the staff at this company that are the problem is the board members who just don't care about their employees, they care about money and this is why they fired so many of their staff. There might have been budget cuts, but the board members of this company are careless, heartless and think of the members as ignorant, people incorporated closed due to COVID-19 but it's still closed because the board knows that if they reopen they will have to rehire the staff which takes money away from them. I am asking that anyone who reads this helps me to fight to reopen people incorporated Northside CSP, the staff didn't give up on me when I wanted to die so I'm not going to give up on them. If you are a member please help me fight to get the staff their jobs back, they need their jobs and the members need the staff. These people love what they do, please help me to fight for them so they can continue to do what they love. I meet at people Tuesdays and Wednesdays between 12 and 3, please come up to the center and help me fight to reopen the center we need it and so do the staff. Please help me show the board that people with mental illnesses are not stupid or ignorant and we will fight for our rights-we have a right to be at that center please help me fight to reopen it. ( the five stars are for the staff and members not the board members).
