I didn't hire David, but was the subject of a film shot in the field in Grand Marais in January of 2020. During the day shoot where he followed my artistic process, I was consistently impressed with his professionalism and respectful space he gave me while I was working. He had a great enthusiasm for the outdoors and was a pleasure to work with. The results were very well done. His eye for composition and his ability to capture the light is commendable and really set a wonderful tone for the piece. His editing and sequencing really brought everything to life. I can't think of someone I would have rather worked with. Impressive! I hope our paths cross again soon!

Two things I'm grateful for: 1. Clients who trust you to tell their story in an enlightened way. 2. Partners you trust to put your story through their own lens andsomeway, somehowmake the work even better than you'd envisioned. When a bedrock North Shore financial services company signed off on a proposed anthem video (including cut-downs) for their new brand campaign, we couldn't have been more excited. Or daunted. It was to be a collage of simple, everyday moments and local, recognizable places, woven together by a themeline of human connectedness. A task not made any easier considering it had to be shot and edited during a global pandemic quarantine. David was up for the challenge from the beginning. After having embraced the strategy of building a prototype using stock footage, he showed incredible flexibility and initiative in scouting recognizable (but hardly "touristy") locations in multiple North Shore communities while engaging friends and family to safely participate in key "connection" moments. In situations where some might express frustration, David kept an even keel and demonstrated a bottomless work ethic. We chose David for his eye for genuine, artful storytelling. However, it's the other talents and qualities, personal and professional, which he displayed during the process that contributed to the success of this project. We can't wait to work with him again. (So don't hog him for yourself, please.)

David is very creative! It was fun and comfortable to work with him and his professionalism. I love his spirit and willingness to get mud in his eye to get the best footage and shots.

I've had the pleasure of working with David on a couple of different films. David is extremely professional and easy to work with. He is great at easing the nerves associated with being on camera. The work he produces is fantastic - I'm continually blown away by his angles and storytelling.
