A very nice stay. Unique homemade bed built from birch. Peaceful location. Breakfast was good. Host was pleasant. I would say it is comparable to a 3+ level hotel and fairly reasonably priced. I would recommend staying just for the experience. Rooms: Rooms were good Nearby activities: Located between Duluth and Gooseberry Falls on Scenic Drive. Walkability: Lake Superior is a walk across the ride. Convenient to the lake. Food & drinks: Breakfast was pancakes with a smile.

I loved every bit of this experience --the attentiveness of the owners starting the day I made the reservation, the drive to the Inn, the deer that crossed my path as I parked behind the Inn, exploring the suite (Great Lakes Suite), the time I spent eating and working at the table by the window looking out on Lake Superior. Lovely! The care taken to get the room ready for me was obvious. It's a somewhat rustic space (cabin-like) but very clean, with linens and towels that seemed new, and a curated and charming decor. I felt like a guest in the home of a friend who wanted me to feel welcome and comfortable.
