Floored

While at the Blaine Home Show I came across Floored. While visiting the booth I signed up to win a Roomba. I received a phone call from Darren about a week later saying that I won the Rumba and it had been delivered to my house. The Roomba never arrived. When I questioned Darren about the Roomba he sent me a picture of a Roomba at a doorstep that wasn't mine. He explained it was sent to the wrong address but he got another one and would bring it during a free in home consult. I set up a free in home visit, after he re scheduling my guard really went up. Honestly I didn't think he was going to show up for the in home consult but he did, without the Roomba. He said he didn't have time to stop by the office prior to our appointment. But promised it would arrive when we had carpet installed. He showed us carpet samples and explained all the carpet had been purchased in bulk so that's why it was such a great deal and why we needed to act fast! He pushed hard for a 50% deposit which I found a little odd considering all the carpet was already purchased. We told him we wanted to sleep on it. The following day he suggested we take out a line of credit to pay for the carpet. I confronted him about the Roomba and he responded "was sent out". Its really unfortunate he chooses to do business this way. Do a Google search or look up on BBB, would appear he has a history of doing business in a non traditional way.

Did some work for Darren and floored as a sub contractor. Always had a hard time collecting payment. And the customer was always mislead by him or his sales personnel. Always did what I could to please the customer. I actually got a nice letter of recommendation from a few with a note to him as well stating we did great with the instal but the floored team was no good. We were scammed out of our $1,500 deposit. I have been told now for nearly a month that the check is in the mail. Darren Paulson has admitted that he cant do the job he bid and offered to return the deposit. Calls, texts, and emails have gone unanswered. There were some excuses earlier (he was sick, then he had covid, then he had a busy week, etc) Now it is just complete silence.
