The good: Chris does a beautiful job on his houses. And for the most part, he is fun to work with and very uplifting. The story: Round 1 - Chris did a great job on a renovation. The renovation burned down (no connection with Chris). Round 2 - Chris was gracious to add our job in rebuilding the home to his busy schedule. We gave him a lot of grace in the timing of it. With pressure, he did complete most of it. (I still don't have my screen doors, 2 years after the fire.) One year ago, he agreed to redo my deck. I sent him drawings and descriptions of how we wanted to do it. He agreed to the full job, and began the work. Soon winter set in and he said he would come back in the spring to finish up. Spring came around and he ignored all correspondence until telling a third party I had to find another contractor. He was not going to finish his job. The bad: Chris is known by his sub contractors to take on too many jobs; to overcommit. He is known by his customers not to communicate or be timely. He is known by realtors to not finish his work. Finish the job, and I'm more than happy to give Chris a good review. Three years of good work with him, and he ruined it in the end.

All of the subcontractors worked really hard to make sure we were happy with the end result. They were really easy to work with and answered all of our questions we had about the building process. Chris is an exceptional builder has put together a great team and system. We are really pleased with our custom house.
