The facility is very old. The staff seems to do their best with what they have. Their management does not provide them with the investment they need to succeed. The wing my dad was in had small rooms with 2 to a room and 2 rooms shared a bathroom. My guess is it was built on the 60s with last remodel in the 70s. I would avoid this place if possible.

OMG..How anyone with prior knowledge of this place would come here is amazing, those that are put here...may GOD help you. This place is about money and nothing more. Care is limited at best due to the lack of staff. Cleaning is little at best, again this is due to a shortage of staff. Good is marginal and attention is not given to a person diet, such as those that having diabetes or are lactose intolerance. I think in large part this place source of income is those on Social Security and SSI or some form of government assistance. Patient's are cash cows and now much else. I have read others reviews here and enlarge part I agree, also see the owner responding to negative post here. And all I can say about it ..is That is that you need to spend money to hire more staff and clean the Care center up. If can't do that consider reducing the cap of patient load. But I seriously doubt that will happen, as I see it in my opinion you are a slum lord, and lack a sense of humanity. The city of Bloomington is negligent as well here in licensing this care center. And I might add the only real problem was admitting someone like me, as many patients are not cognit enough to understand the abuse they will endure at Estate of Bloomington.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! The Estates at Bloomington is absolutely awful. Extremely unhygienic, and unprofessional. No one should be there for treatment and rehab. The employees are not trained properly, and have no idea what it takes to genuinely look out for the residents who should be receiving proper care. Speaking of unhygienic, the place is not sanitized. The housekeeping, nurses, and the CNA's do not use accurate sanitizing techniques to actually keep the place clean. The building has a rancid smell, which gets residents, guests, and employees nauseous on the spot. The director is not in office at ALL. Neither is the director of nursing, so good luck with getting in contact with either of them for questions or help. They also teach employees to get their act right once the MN Dept of Health arrives, in order to pass inspections on complaints they receive on the daily. And right after that, they go back to their disappointing and disgusting old ways. It's sad to see these sorts of things occur, especially since we have multiple and adaptable ways to keep a place running PROPERLY, especially in a HEALTHCARE facility setting, where thing should ALWAYS be running in a sanitized, organized, and positive manner. If you genuinely care for your family members or people you may know, please try your best to avoid this place. They do not look out for others in their best interest, and will surely not assist them with their daily necessities. PS: Do NOT sit on their chairs. They are un-sanitized, and have urine, and god knows what on there.
